I grew up in a small town called Russia in the thick of "rural Ohio". When I graduated high school I went straight into the work force. I worked multiple part time jobs to keep myself busy, up until I came to Damascus to work as a 2023 summer missionary. I originally came into the summer with the intentions to grow in my faith, hopefully receive some healing from the Lord, do some good with my life, and then at the end of the summer, pick back up right where I left off back home. Little did I know the Lord had other plans. With each week of summer camp I fell more in love with Damascus’s mission. By the time week 7 of summer camp rolled around I was considering looking into staying for the full time missionary program. That week I asked the Lord to show me where He wanted me. Over and over again He made it clear that for the time being He wanted me to stay at Damascus. So when I was offered the position to be a full-time missionary I immediately accepted. The Lord has done so much that I could have never seen coming, and I continue to do my best to go where He leads me.
