Hi I’m Janie and I’m from Southern Maryland. I graduated from Franciscan University last year with a degree in Theology. This year I’ve been a teacher’s aide in a second grade class and I have a blast with the kids, especially playing sharks and minnows at recess and telling them their shoes are on backwards. My favorite things are being with awesome people doing high energy things like playing sports and hiking and moshing. Jesus gave me my first encounter with Him when I was twelve and then four years later asked me to be Catholic. Now it’s five years after that and I’m still encountering Him everyday. My heart burns for mission and I love being with kids - and acting like a kid. The Lord has called me to small mission trips and everyday is a mission in the Christian life but in the past year He’s put it on my heart to do a mission year and I can’t shake the desire - so here I am. I want to share His merciful love that He gives to me. I’d love your help in this, thanks :)
