My Story

Hello and thank you for opening your heart to me and to the mission of Damascus. My name is Max Brinker and was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have currently just graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School and plan on attending college to study exercise science, in hopes of attending chiropractic school in the future. My life with Jesus started during the summer of 2022 where I attended Catholic Youth Summer Camp. I had grown up in a strong Catholic family but never powerfully encountered Jesus. Before Damascus, I thought Jesus was more of a man who watches over your life instead of someone who walks through life with you. Through that week at camp, I learned so much about God and who he truly is, encountering God in such a powerful way through the Eucharist. From that week on I promised God to be His faithful servant, living a life of mission. Throughout high school, I have been trying my best to fulfill my promise to God by living out my mission and serving my friends and classmates. Now I feel the Lord is calling me to something greater here, at Damascus, to deepen my relationship with Jesus as well as leading the youth into a greater relationship with Jesus.
