My Story

Hello! I'm a Detroit, MI native. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2019 with a degree in journalism. I fell in love with the Lord in college and wanted to spend my life evangelizing and making young disciples. I am a former youth minister, so I understand a lot of the challenges the youth are facing. We all live in a very secular world, and the culture is telling them more and more that they don't need God or their faith. It breaks my heart that there are so many kids who will go all the way into their adult life without ever knowing Christ. But I know it doesn't have to be that way. I took students to Catholic Youth Summer Camp in 2023 because I wanted to give them an encounter with our personal and loving God. And I'll never forget what one of our 6th graders said at camp after having a big encounter with the Lord. He said, "Andy, I didn't really believe in God before this week... Now, I know He's real!" I am joining Damascus because I believe in this mission. I want to more and more kids have the same experience this 6th grader had.
